Candida Symptoms and Survey

A simple Candida Symptoms Survey is an easy way to see if yeast overgrowth could be a factor in general health and in skin problems such as acne, psoriasis, rosacea and diaper rash.

There are many causes for candida overgrowth and many possible indications of when a yeast overgrowth has occurred. Check out the list of symptoms below and follow the directions for the Candida Survey. You will then better be able to determine whether or not Candida Albicans overgrowth needs to be dealt with in order for you to reach your clear and healthy skin goals.

Detecting Dysbiosis or Candida Overgrowth Symptoms

Take a look at the following Candida Symptoms Survey list of common physical and emotional symptoms. If you experience any of them on a daily to weekly basis, place an X before that symptom:

Candida Symptoms Depression
  • intestinal gas, bloating
  • abdominal fullness
  • constipation, diarrhea or both alternating
  • heartburn, acid indigestion, gastritis
  • intestinal pain or cramping
  • depression, loss of interest or pleasure
  • anxiety
  • irritability, easily angered, mood swings
  • trouble sleeping
  • trouble thinking clearly
  • poor memory, poor concentration
  • fatigue, weakness, feel drained
  • muscle stiffness or cramps with normal activity
  • muscle aches, weakness
  • deep pains in legs, arms and back
  • cravings for sugar, carbohydrate-rich foods or alcohol
  • feel sick if you don't eat regularly
  • vaginal burning or itching, discharge (i.e. potentially Candida vaginitis)
  • prostatitis (i.e. Candida in men is a reality too!)
If you have placed an X before:

12 or more symptoms - Candida imbalance is almost certainly a problem
10 or more symptoms - Candida imbalance is probably a problem
7 or more symptoms - Candida imbalance is possibly a problem
4 or less symptoms - Candida imbalance is less likely to be a problem.

More Candida Symptoms Clues
for Detecting Imbalances

  • Rate your degree of fatigue on a scale of 0-10 with zero being extremely low energy and 10 being full of positive energy. Candida yeast overgrowth generally produces a great deal of fatigue and if your energy score is 7 or more, it is an indication that Candida overgrowth is less likely to be a factor.
  • Look for a history of antibiotic, steroid or birth control use. All can causes of Candida yeast infection.
  • Look for sensitivities to tobacco smoke, perfumes, insecticides, fabric store or dry cleaners odors and other chemicals. Increased chemical sensitivities are a good Candida Symptoms Survey tool as they generally indicate yeast overgrowth.
  • Look for how you feel on damp, muggy days or in moldy places. These types of situations are a Candida Symptoms Survey indication of likely candida infection.
  • Look for moderate, severe or persistent athlete's foot, ring worm, jock itch or other chronic fungal infections of the skin or nails.
If checking these symptoms of Candida clues is bringing up positive results, then explore a little further to see it any of the following, seemingly unrelated symptoms are present:
  • feeling spacey
  • numbness, burning or tingling in any body parts
  • cold hand, feet or chilliness
  • shaking or irritability when hungry
  • cramps, PMS or other menstrual irregularities
  • loss of sexual desire
  • anxiety or over sensitivity emotionally
  • inability to make decisions
  • impotence
In correlation with the previous, common Candida Symptoms Survey results, these too can indicate dysbiosis or gut microbe imbalances.

I have suffered from adult acne for 6 years and I have tried everything under the sun, I am now 25. I started to see my family doctor when I was 19; at 21 he referred me to a dermatologist who I saw for 2 years. For the past few years I have been trying different things including facials, which seemed to help for a little while but we ended up at a standstill. I went off dairy to see if I had an allergy to it, which seemed to help for a time. The breakouts seem to be getting worse and I just can’t “live” with it… as some people have told me to.
Are you able to Help???

While a Candida Symptoms Survey is not meant to diagnose or treat illness, it can be a helpful tool in determining if skin problems may have yeast overgrowth as a contributing factor, and can indicate diet, supplements and lifestyle choices that could have you moving another step of the journey closer to radiant, clear and beautiful skin.
